Here's how to apply
Dayforce Cares allocates annual funding in every state across the country. As grants are made through the year, they draw from the state allocation where the recipient resides. At this time, grant funds for the following states are depleted, and applications are now paused until April 1, 2025: Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee.

Review Dayforce Cares application criteria
Please note the following:
- Dayforce Cares will not provide grants to the same recipient in consecutive fiscal years.
- The level of funding assistance may vary based on the cost of the item and the availability of funds at the time the request is received, to a maximum of $5,000.
- No additional funding for the same piece of equipment will be provided after funding is approved, even if: other agencies have not fulfilled their approved funds or changed their funding criteria; items were missed in the quote; the size of the item increased; additional items are required for the equipment.
As of February 1, 2024, we can no longer accept the following grant requests:
- Ongoing long-term therapies needed for more than six months, such as physiotherapy, massage, or chiropractic, without a specified short or medium-term goal or outcome
- Personal recreation including camps, sports, recreational programs, art supplies, and athletic programs—special-needs programs excepted
- General debts such as personal loans or credit card balances
- Long-term medical equipment rentals or subscriptions to ongoing long-term medical services
- Respite services whether short or long term
- Electronics for any type of recreational use
Review all application criteria
Gather all the required documents
- Proof of citizenship or permanent residency for the recipient. View examples.
- Acceptable forms include: Recipient's U.S. birth certificate, passport, REAL ID (the new secure driver's license) with symbol in the corner, or permanent residence card.
- The following are not sufficient to establish identity: Social Security cards or regular non-REAL ID driver's licenses (no symbol in corner).
- Two quotes/estimates from vendors or service providers for the cost of the item(s) for which financial assistance is being requested.
- Optional: Letter from a third party to support your claims (e.g., doctor, teacher, social worker, therapist, etc.).
- For requests for therapies such as physiotherapy, chiropractic, or psychotherapy, a note from a health practitioner outlining the expected timeframe the therapy will be needed (total duration must be less than six months) as well as the outcome goals.
- For requests for a portion of a larger expense (i.e., requesting $3,000 toward something that costs $10,000), include confirmation that funds have been secured for the balance of the needed amount.
Begin the application
Once you have the all required documents, follow the steps below to apply:
- Click on the “Begin Application” button
- Fill in all the required fields of the Application for Grant form
- Scan and upload all the required documents
- Click “Submit”
AFTER YOU APPLY
Here’s what happens after you submit your application
You can expect a response within 90 days of your complete and accurate submission to let you know your application status. Incomplete applications and missing attachments will cause delays and reset the start of the 90-day timeframe.
A member of the Dayforce Cares team may contact you to request additional details pertaining to your application.
Submissions that are enhanced by artificial intelligence such as ChatGPT must still describe your personal situation. Entries that are generic or copied from another applicant may be rejected.
Dayforce Cares reserves the right to verify that funds disbursed have been used for the purposes for which they were approved. Dayforce Cares may ask for your participation in Dayforce Cares promotional activities, but will only do so with your consent and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
