Granting Policies

Introduction
Dayforce Cares U.S. is committed to being an employee-driven charity that makes a difference where we live and work in the United States. To that end, Dayforce Cares intends to make grants to eligible recipients, ranging from $200 to $5,000, to support people in need and to improve our communities.

The funds available for grants come from donations received by Dayforce Cares from employees of Dayforce, Inc. and its affiliates and other supporters of Dayforce Cares. The discretion to determine funding rests solely with the Dayforce Cares Granting Committees and its Board of Directors.

Grant Process
To apply for a grant, an applicant must be at least 18 years of age and must complete the Application for Grant form. The Application for Grant and all supporting documentation must be received by Dayforce Cares prior to consideration for a grant. If any information is missing or the application is incomplete, it will be returned for completion, resulting in a delay in evaluating the request. If missing documentation is not provided within six weeks of the original request, the application will not be processed and will be closed.

Grant decisions typically occur within 90 days of the receipt of the completed Application for Grant and supporting information. You will be notified by Dayforce Cares via e-mail or mail of the grant decision. All grant and funding decisions are final.

  • Recipient must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Recipient must be an individual or family in need of financial assistance related to the types of items supported by Dayforce Cares.
  • Dayforce Cares will not provide grants to the same recipient in consecutive fiscal years.
  • The level of funding assistance may vary based on the cost of the item and the availability of funds at the time the request is received, to a maximum of $5,000.
  • The ability to fund all eligible applications received is conditional on the availability of funds.
  • The Application for Grant form and all supporting documentation must be submitted and approved prior to the award being granted.
  • If any information is missing or the application is incomplete, it will be returned for completion resulting in a delay in evaluating the request.
  • If missing documentation is not provided within six weeks of the request from Dayforce Cares, the application will not be processed and will be closed.
  • No additional funding for the same piece of equipment will be provided after funding is approved even if: other agencies have not fulfilled their approved funds or changed their funding criteria; items were missed in the quote; the size of the item increased; additional items are required for equipment.
  • It is the recipient’s choice of which vendor is selected. If the services provided cost more than the amount of the grant, the recipient is responsible for paying the difference.
  • The recipient is responsible for ordering the equipment or scheduling the service after receiving our written approval.
  • Payment is made to the vendor, not the applicant/recipient.
  • Dayforce employees and family members are eligible for grants, under the same conditions as any other applicant.
  • Grant decision-making is a committee process: applicants are vetted for eligibility, then eligible applicants follow a review process which includes a committee, Dayforce Cares staff, and oversight by the Grant Allocation Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Grant decision-making typically occurs within 90 days of the receipt of the application.
  • Funding approval is valid for six months from the date of approval.

This policy is subject to change at any time without notice. As a condition to apply for a grant, applicants must agree that the decisions of Dayforce Cares are final and that Dayforce Cares accepts no liability in such regard.
