Granting Policies

Introduction

Dayforce Cares is committed to being an employee driven charity that makes a difference supporting people and improving communities in which we live and work. To that end, Dayforce Cares intends to make grants to eligible recipients in range from $200 to $5,000 to support people and improve our communities.

The funds available for grants to eligible recipients is based on donations received by Dayforce Cares Canada from employees of Dayforce and its affiliates and other supporters of Dayforce Cares Canada. The discretion to determine funding rests solely with the Dayforce Cares Granting Committees and its Board of Directors.

Grant Process

To apply for a grant, an applicant must be at least 18 years of age and must complete the Application for Grant form. The recipient of the grant may be any age, but an applicant can submit on behalf of a recipient.

The Application for Grant and all supporting documentation must be received by Dayforce Cares Canada prior to consideration for a grant. If any information is missing or the application is incomplete, it will be returned for completion resulting in a delay in evaluating the request. If missing documentation is not provided within 6 weeks of the original request to Dayforce Cares Canada, the application will not be processed and will be closed.

Grant decisions typically occur within 90 days of the receipt of completed Application for Grant and supporting information. You will be notified by Dayforce Cares Canada via e-mail or mail of the grant decision. All grant and funding decisions are final.

  • Recipient must have a permanent residence in Canada.
  • Dayforce Cares will not provide grants to the same recipient in consecutive years.
  • The level of funding assistance may vary based on the cost of the item and the availability of funds at the time the request is received to a maximum of $5,000.
  • The ability to fund all eligible applications received is conditional on the availability of funds.
  • The Application for Grant form and all supporting documentation must be submitted and approved prior to the award being granted.
  • If any information is missing or the application is incomplete, it will be returned for completion resulting in a delay in evaluating the request.
  • If missing documentation is not provided within 6 weeks of the request from Dayforce Cares, the application will not be processed and will be closed.

  • No additional funding for the same piece of equipment will be provided after funding is approved even if: other agencies have not fulfilled their approved funds or changed their funding criteria; items were missed in the quote; increase in size of item; additional items are required for equipment.

  • The recipient is responsible for ordering the equipment or scheduling the service after receiving our written approval.
  • Payment is made to the vendor, not the applicant/recipient.
  • Dayforce employees and family members are eligible for grants, under the same conditions as any other applicant.
